Jim`s Bistro in Peoria Heights

Excellent food, attentive staff and a relaxing atmosphere. Could be a little tricky to find parking during peak hours. Every time I've come to Jim's, I'm so glad I decided to make the trip.

The sea scallops were amazing!! We will go back there again!

Friday catfish on Fridays is always a treat. Careful of the $3 up charge for homemade dressing. Not always mentioned when ordering. A bit ridiculous.

Steak was tender, had good flavor. Appetizers are good. Drinks were good. Be sure to budget if you're not used to high end steak places.

The food here is delicious! Reservations are recommended as it is rather small inside. Luckily we got a table before it got too crowded. And this was a Wednesday! This is my second time here. But not my last.

We love the bistro and have visited this place on a regular basis for the last 20 years, unfortunately our experience yesterday was poor from the point of view of service. The waiter had a chip on his shoulder and impolite. See the pic of the dessert, he served it with massive spoons, a reflection of lack of attention to detail. The food was ok, once again steak was over done. I have had better at the bistro before. Maybe they were having a busy and bad night

Have a customer who always takes me here when I'm in town. Friendly , great service. Get the homemade soups, always good. And burgers to die for. Pretty expensive for lunch, but I haven't had to pay yet, so I'm not complaining.

We were here for lunch. Nice little place, and we all enjoyed our meals. The Raging Bull is a hell of a burger. I saw a lot of good bourbons on the wall, so I'll have to come back some evening soon.

Out for a nice dinner with my husband. I had the scallops and he had a ribeye. Everything was amazing including our server Elise. We will be back for sure!

Great plan fried chicken special on Sundays

Fantastic cheese soup and the blackened salmon salad special was fantastic. Fast friendly lunch service! I always run into at least one person I know there. I’m going back for the burgers. They look awesome!

Overall good atmosphere and friendly staff. Oyster Rockefeller was good. Caesar salad good. One of the worst New York strips I have ever had. Asked for medium. It was burnt on the outside with a grey pink center in the very, very center. I am the type to never complain at restaurants and showed the waitress, she literally tried to argue with me when there was no question this steak was not cooked properly, I said I would eat it anyway, THEN she insists it's fine if she shows it to the cooks for me. I declined. Took two more bites and my brother gave me part of his rib-eye which was amazing. Drinks were good. For a $300 bill I felt pretty insulted when she came back at the end of dinner, saw the whole New York strip on the plate and asked if I wanted a box, I'm sure that's policy and she has to. Probably wouldn't go back.

Very appetizing. Looking forward to returning with my coworkers. The place has an awesome atmosphere. Menu is similar to a restaurant in El Paso I loved.

Jim's is a great place for lunch. I've been here far too many times, burgers and salads here are fantastic.

Our favorite spot for great steaks, amazing scallops and salmon and the best comfort foods. Try the Sunday fried chicken special or the beef stroganoff. Amazing!

Worst dinner yet! Don't go. Salad was from last. week sometime, had the house Lasagna that was supposedly great but wastn't. Add to it the burnt toast and it adds up to very bad experience. 1 star to too much on a Sunday night

I think it was the best Reuben I've ever eaten. Very cozy, went there for a late lunch, so very quick and attentive.

The staff was very welcoming, kind, and attentive. The food was absolutely amazing! I had the salmon which was cooked to perfection and my mister had the ribeye which was juicy and tender. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend.

The best steak in Peoria!

We went here last night and started with appetizers which were both good but what was strange is the waitress waited till after we ate our appetizer to take our main dish order which took forever. Service was terrible and they werent that busy. And after that I couldnt finish my beef stroganoff cause I was full from the appetizers so my plate was 3/4 full of beef and noodles. So we got take out boxes and the waiter took our dishes in back and brought back our boxes. So today i warmed up my leftovers and somehow my stroganoff didnt even have 1 piece of beef in it. So either they took them out or they threw my dish out and filled my boxes with noodles. Me and my wife are surprised they would do this but we both witnessed how much beef was once there then now gone. Never going there again and not only is service bad the food is terribly overpriced.

My wife and I knew we were going to have a great meal the moment we walked in! This place has class, for lunch and especially dinner! We both had the house salad, she had the salmon wrap special, and I had a burger. All was very delicious! I highly recommend going as soon as you get the chance.

If you like fried chicken or catfish, this is the best Sunday dinner offered in Peoria. The chicken is lightly coated and served with mashed potatoes with gravy, corn, and salad. They also serve amazing steaks and sandwiches. The Blue Burger is also a favorite. Because it is a small and intimate venue, you must make reservations. Outdoor seating is available as are carryout. We are becoming regulars...always on Sundays.

Five stars for sure!! Their Raging Bull Burger is incredible! The flavor and the heat have always been perfect! (I've gotten it like 3 or 4 times now)The location and dining area are nice. Their bathrooms have always been relatively clean. Which is nice because after eating the Raging Bull, I always have to wash my hands. The burger can get a bit messy with all the tasty stuff they have on it! I've always gone during the day for lunch, so I have not tried their liquor selection, but I'm sure it's good.

Ate at the bar, service was decent, burger was cooked to preference but had no flavor or depth, used to be a great burger spot, will now look elsewhere.

Burgers are the best bang for your buck here and very good and great sweat potato fries. Wine was a little expensive by the glass for what I would expect for the city at $11. Burger was cooked medium and perfect; had the bacon cheeseburger.

Perfect date night spot. All the steaks are tasty, but there are plenty of other equally delicious choices.

An outstanding place for an excellent meal. Steaks, sea food, some good comfort food - and great burgers. Nice ambience and fantastic service. Full bar and outside seating (weather permitting).

Amazing as always

Risotto was just salty beef broth flavored (not traditional risotto), Smoked Chicken was NOT smoked, just roasted. Crab cakes had a bit too much bread crumbs. So, decent food, large portions, good service but menu misrepresents some of the dishes.

This place has great service and I had one of the best filet mignons that I've had in a long time
